Most people have pets in their homes and there is a wide range of pets one can decide to keep. There is also a wide range of reasons why people keep certain pets. Some people like dogs because they are sources of security in homes. Others like cats because they also keep the rat population in homes low. There are so many breeds of rabbits that one can choose from and in fact some breeds are extremely rare and in order to obtain them you have to import them from well-known breeders. There is a category of people who hate being able to live in the same house with pets, no matter how good they look. They hate the idea of cats or dogs dropping hair and fur all over their carpets, and leaving their droppings anywhere in the house. For those people, the rabbit can be the perfect pet since they do not have to live in the same house with them.
Rabbits are amazing creatures, which have beautiful fur and pleasant eyes. Breeds like the chinchilla are known to make good pets, with their various colors and floppy ears. They feed on plants and cabbage, but food pellets for them can be purchased at pet food stores. They multiply rapidly and mature in a few months. Rabbits like to be held in their laps by their owners and are generally friendly. They must be protected from predators and inclement weather.
