Britney Spears and the Law of Attraction

Britney Spears. Oh, the wagging of the tongue that happens in supermarket checkout lines these days as moms across America collectively sigh, grateful (with the possible exception of fame and money) that Miss Spears is someone else’s problem. Grateful that her daughters, while troublesome in their own right, have not reached the melting point of a Spears child. (Little sister Jamie Lynn, 16, is reportedly expecting another little Spears.)

Are we not full of ourselves? What great parents we are!

And didn’t you love it when Mommy Spears had her parenting book unceremoniously taken away? Ah, the irony.

The irony, however, has absolutely nothing to do with the Spears family and what we perceive (actually, judge) their flaws. As a society, we collectively amuse ourselves with their pain and gleefully judge every failed move they make to validate and overlook our own error-filled worlds. This is the classic Law of Attraction, but not in a good way.

Britney can be forgiven. She is a child who has grown up under the spotlight of cruelty, as everyone from the media, bus drivers, foreign governments and fast food workers have “disdainfully” weighed every negative stumble she has had, Impatient for the next chapter. For them, everything is nothing more than an abundant Roman ration of bread and circuses; for Britney Spears, it’s her life.

So who or what is a Britney Spears? She is, like any of us, a product of everything that surrounds her. She is human and she is suffering. She is sometimes immature and dumb, and her demons are up her sleeve for all to see. This makes her more honest than most. She tries, but without a level support system, she often fails. (That’s the part we like; it makes us feel so much better about ourselves!)

Britney Spears, in addition to battling the hostile media and insincerity around her, is also battling a terrible disease. Whether she wins the fight or is too tired to fight any longer, she remains in the ring of alcoholism and drug abuse. I don’t think she even tries to hide it anymore.

We would look at (judge) her in a completely different light if she had cancer or leukemia; you know, an acceptable disease. But no matter how much the medical field classifies substance abuse as a disease, it is still disparaged and only becomes a disease when it is ours or someone we care about.

So what’s the answer, both for Britney and for us? Because to suggest the insatiable thirst for enjoying front row seats with the downfall of the Spears family as the main event as anything other than a two-way street is downright dishonest. We need Britney to fall off of her, just as much as she needs us to hold her hand and help her up off the ground. If she’s left to her own devices, this scenario only has one ending, and look no further than Anna Nicole Smith or Elvis if she wants to know which one she is. Then, when that happens, we’ll all enjoy the coverage of the 24-hour news cycle while we click our tongues and judge some more.

However, there is another alternative. And it will save both sides of this sick fence.

The Law of Attraction promises that whatever we want, as long as the feelings and thoughts are direct and true, the Universe will provide us with what we want.

We all wanted what we got with Spears’ ongoing train wreck, and this is true on both sides. We have attracted this, as has Britney, her sister, her mother, all the boyfriends and all the parasites who have benefited from her misery. We’ve all been excellent attractors, and continue to do so as the game accelerates to the point where the next stop will be the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office. How many would have thought when Britney has definitely left the stage, Jamie Lynn Spears is waiting in the wings to take on her leading role. Haven’t we all had enough of this?

We deserve better from ourselves, and those two wonderful girls and their families deserve better too. Let’s stop this now. We create it collectively; Can’t we turn it around and enjoy each one of life as it should be enjoyed?

It’s not too late, and if by providence the Spears sisters read this article, please, girls, take back your power and refuse to be part of this rotten pantomime and live. Live your lives and focus on your wonderful babies, your most beautiful creations. Use what the Universe gave you and live the Law of Attraction in a positive way. You have already shown how talented you are in manifesting the Law of Attraction; now is the time to use it positively and get your lives back.

We can also want this for them, right? We can wish and think and feel the thoughts that will help you manifest this wonderful gift. Can’t we do that for them? And if it is not for them, can we not wish it for their children?

The Law of Attraction is a gift from the Universe to everyone, not least to girls who apparently already have it all. The Law of Attraction is also for Britney.
