Learn how to use body scrubs to remove dead skin cells and improve skin health

Exfoliation involves the use of a body scrub to remove dead skin cells that make skin appear rough, wrinkled, dry, and patchy.

How to use scrubs to exfoliate skin (instructions)

  1. Select a scrub that includes healthy ingredients
  2. Take a bath or shower first (Yes, you can use soap before applying the scrub).
  3. Then, after bath or shower, start the Exfoliation Process
  4. Make sure your entire body where the Scrub is applied is wet with water.
  5. Step away from the water to apply the scrub. Be careful not to slip, body scrubs contain oil and are slippery. (A non-slip surface is needed when getting in and out of the shower or tub.)
  6. Take two tablespoons of the scrub and rub it into your skin in circular motions. It should feel good on the skin and not cause pain. Use the same pressure that you would use to apply lotion to a baby’s body. keep it smooth
  7. After rubbing the scrub all over your skin, step into the water and gently rinse the scrub away leaving the oil behind. Note: Only a high quality body scrub leaves an oil that really sticks to the skin. Don’t use a washcloth, just use your hands while cleaning off the scrub (salt).
  8. After lifting all the sand (from salt) from the body, turn off the water.
  9. Dry the body with a towel; do not rub the skin. You must let the oils soak into your skin.
  10. Enjoy your new skin!
  11. Repeat the process twice a week for smooth, exfoliated skin.

How does the scrub benefit the skin it is on?

When looking at a body scrub, review the ingredients and determine if those are the ingredients your skin needs. Look up ingredients and learn about product ingredients, associated risks, and health benefits.
