Avast is a free antivirus program, it scans in real time and keeps your computer protected no matter what you are doing. It will protect you from all types of malware and viruses. You can receive free updates every day and schedule a scan to run at any time.
2. Google Chrome
Google Chrome is an Internet browser that brings simplicity and speed to your computer when searching the Internet. There are thousands of plugins you can get and install, as well as hundreds of themes and colors to customize the look you want.
3. Peerblock
Peerblock is a free program that runs in the background on your computer and uses lists to block any unwanted IP addresses from connecting to your computer. You can get different lists for different purposes, some for stopping educational, government, anti P2P, spyware and malware IP addresses and also known hackers. Peerblock is also useful to use as a firewall, although it does not have smart capabilities, it can block spyware servers and known hackers from entering or downloading something on your computer.
