Windows has recently launched a series of new smartphones with its new operating system, Windows Mobile 7. Among these phones is the HTC 7 Mozart. Leveraging the renowned build quality and functionality of the manufacturers’ phones, coupled with the new operating system from the computer giants, the HTC 7 Mozart looks to be a very attractive phone.

Like the HTC Legend and Desire HD, the HTC 7 Mozart features a unibody design, giving it durability and a luxurious, build-quality feel. The phone measures 119 x 60.2 x 11.9mm and weighs 130 grams, making it pretty standard in terms of dimensions, however, its light weight ensures a comfortable user experience.

The HTC 7 Mozart features an impressive display. Measuring 3.7 inches with a pixel configuration of 480 x 800, it displays up to 16 million colors, producing amazing levels of clarity and quality. This makes it a perfect device for enjoying a variety of multimedia such as photos and videos. The screen also features an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, and multi-touch input support.

To alert users to incoming calls and messages, HTC 7 Mozart uses vibration and ringtone, and has the added benefit of supporting MP3 and WAV files as ringtones. Hands-free communication is a breeze thanks to a built-in speakerphone system and 3.5mm audio jack. The latter can accommodate hands-free headsets, as well as a pair of headphones for listening to music through the internal media player.

A generous internal storage of 8 GB is provided as standard, giving users ample room to store their favorite music tracks or video clips inside the phone. Class 32 GPRS and EDGE provide the phone with the means to connect to cellular networks, and Internet access relies on both 3G and Wi-Fi, allowing for a fast connection as long as users have access to local wireless networks.

Another impressive feature of the HTC 7 Mozart is the 8 megapixel camera. This works at high pixel resolution, so images retain a high level of quality even when users enlarge their images. Autofocus, xenon flash, and face detection are included, as is the ability to record HD video footage in 720p quality.

The operating system works together with a powerful 1 GHz processor to provide an excellent user experience. There are a number of additional features, all included as standard, such as a versatile media player, organizer, voice memo recorder, etc.

Since its release date was so recent, it’s hard to comment on the phone’s popularity, but judging by its specs, the HTC 7 Mozart has all the credentials of an attractive smartphone.
