How to eat and exercise to build muscle and strength until age 50

Are you a bodybuilder?

Am.

Bodybuilding defined as I define it is “building the body”.

Sugar, high-energy drinks, pre-packaged foods, including new and healthy so-called “fitness” drinks and powders, commercial pre-workout, intra-workout, and post-workout products.

Yes, this post is about bodybuilding or bodybuilding without all the hype and commercial BS.

Every day we wake up in the morning and make a decision, a decision that will make or break us for that day and possibly for the next day and the rest of our lives.

  • Do you sleep late and arrive late or behind the rest of the day?
  • Do you have the right kind of breakfast?
  • Do you consistently eat the right kind of varied breakfast?
  • Does your breakfast (the MOST important meal) of the day put your metabolism and cellular function into anabolic motion so you can properly assimilate and digest food for optimal absorption?

Believe me or not, but most people around the world do NOT start their day off right. Even when MOST people think so. They are just kidding themselves, playing a mind game to escape the truth, the reality.

Do you want proof? Ok:

  1. Every year, 12.7 million people find out they have cancer and 7.6 million die from the disease. However, the evidence shows that between 30 and 40 percent of these deaths are preventable.
  2. Because cancers of the colon and rectum are often called “colorectal cancers,” these two types of cancer are combined. For 2016, the estimated number of new cases of colon cancer and rectal cancer is 95,270 and 39,220, respectively, for a total of 134,490 new cases of colorectal cancer.

Do the foods you eat every day strengthen the body or slowly let in toxins for future health problems?

Here’s what you need to sculpt the perfect physique:

Cancer Fighting Foods

  • Green leafy vegetables…
  • Cruciferous vegetables…
  • Berries…
  • Bright orange fruits and vegetables (citrus fruits, squash, sweet potatoes, etc.)…
  • Fresh herbs and spices…
  • Organic Meats…
  • Cultured Dairy Products…
  • Nuts and seeds.

Are you getting these foods in abundance every day first thing in the morning? I know I wasn’t.

How could I save my leg from amputation and compete in a bodybuilding contest if I was killing myself while I thought I was building my body? I had to change both my diet and supplements for key nutrients that I found VERY difficult to include in my diet every day. The growing methods used these days actually leave fruits and vegetables ripe and tasty, but they actually have very LOW nutritional value.

So I researched for myself foods and nutrients and what would build tissue and blood and health and fight disease and illness and cancer. I made a new bodybuilding lifestyle change, one that would keep me healthy and build muscle for years to come (31 now) and hopefully well into my 90s.

I saved my leg from amputation and won the Mr. Michigan (Natural) Masters Bodybuilding Championship. Can you make a positive lifestyle change and be successful in your endeavors?

Challenge yourself and resolve to take your bodybuilding efforts to new levels for years to come. You will do it yourself later in life, I guarantee it!
