NHL Season Outlook

Everyone is excited about the new hockey season. We are all looking forward to seeing how our team will do. The excitement isn’t just contained in the NHL, though. He is also in junior hockey, the CCHA, and amateur hockey.

Everyone is preparing for the new season. I know who I am. But really, are things going to be much different than last season?

The answer is yes.

I’m going to talk about all the things that have happened that will make this season very different from the last.

The first thing I want to talk about is going to be the biggest drop in power a team has experienced this offseason. The Detroit Red Wings have lost many crucial members. Although they will still be able to play well and probably make the playoffs, they probably won’t win a Stanley Cup.

Another team we’re going to look at is the Phoenix Coyotes. The problem is that we won’t be seeing them on the ice (they’re going to lose a lot of games). We are going to be watching them as they try to resolve a bankruptcy issue. Hopefully they can fix it before the end of the season. However, with Gretzky resigning, it will be a little more difficult.

Finally, we have to know who is going to surprise us this year. For me, the team that looks the best is the Anaheim Ducks. They looked great last year by defeating San Jose in the first round of the playoffs. Even though they were an 8 seed, they still managed to pick up a first round win and an impressive 7 game performance in the second.

It’s just that they won most of their games after the trade deadline. This tells me that they are going to be even better this year, since they will have good players for the whole year and not just 1 month. I would look to them to win a lot of games and go deep in the playoffs.

Anyway, that’s my very brief outlook for this season. There will be much more to come, and please leave a comment and tell me what you think. I know I didn’t mention all the teams, but if you have anything to say, please let me know.
