Download movies, music, software and more for PSP

Download files to PSP

Did you know that you can download almost any file from the internet to your computer and transfer it to your psp machine?

Be it movies, audio, software, TV shows or whatever you want, you can put it on your psp to do whatever you want.

Several relatives of mine have asked me for a summary of the information on how it is done. I have the reputation of the unofficial internet nerd of the family you see.

Not wanting to admit that I knew very little about it and ruined my reputation, I did some searching and managed to find some of the answers they were looking for. So for anyone who is looking for information on how to download psp and download to computer, I hope you find, somewhere in my ravings, a useful tidbit or two that you can use for your own personal use.

The first thing I had to do was find a site that did everything I wanted.

The site you were looking to download from was a place where all current firmware versions would be supported.

Since some games require special edition firmware versions to play, I wanted a place that included everything needed along with full step-by-step instructions.

Then all I had to do was download the files to my computer and then simply transfer them directly to my PSP using a USB cable or compatible thumb drive. I made sure that all the necessary software was provided with explicit instructions. I’m not a computer guru, you see.

I eventually found a site where all your favorite PSX/PS1 games can also be transferred to your PSP with no problem.

Hard Drive (HDD) Hard drive on your computer with at least 4GB, but preferably 10GB free space in a partition

PSP USB cable USB cable or memory card slot on your PC

PSP memory At least one memory card from 256 MB to 512 MB. 1GB or larger cards are preferred.

PSP and Wi-Fi hotspots

The PSP can connect to existing Wi-Fi hotspots. Hot spots are areas with Wi-Fi service and are accessed for free or for a fee. It is possible to purchase access using a metered system or passes valid for a set period of time, such as a day, a week, or a month. There may be metered or pass access for, say, a day, a month, or a year. Access can be for an entire chain of locations or just one access point. Hot spots can be in bookstores, coffee shops, or airports. Using the website below, you can search for local Wi-Fi hotspots.

Use your PSP as a Memory Stick reader

The PSP can function as a USB Memory Stick Duo reader. With this functionality, you can copy images, audio, and other content to and from your Memory Stick Duo. To access the Memory Stick Duo on your PSP from your PC, you’ll need a USB cable that has a Mini-B connector (common for digital cameras) and a Standard-A connector (common for printers, etc.). Plug the Mini-B side into the top of your PSP and the Standard-A side into your PC. From the PSP software, navigate to the top of the settings list and select USB Connection. Your PC (Windows/Mac/Linux) should detect a new removable disk drive that you can access.

You don’t necessarily need a wireless hotspot or hotspot to play against other people, as you can also connect up to 16 nearby PSP systems directly via ad-hoc mode to play without any additional hardware. Just make sure your downloads are fully compatible with multiplayer options.
