God’s Original Sun

The story of sun worship, seemingly so foreign to the Western mind, has in fact played out in Christianity in many ways like the story of Jesus in the Gospels. Very little was known about the life of Jesus, each and every style of writing from Midrash (searching past scriptures for “clues” as to how they might apply to the present) to discerning the history of the zodiac and its constellations were used. to fill in what was clearly missing from the verbatim record.

Consider our “modern” terms, Horizon and Sunset. These terms believe their ancient history. Horus-sun (Horizon) was dawn, as Horus was the Egyptian god of light and the daylight part of the 24-hour cycle. Set was the god of darkness and night. He came onto the scene in “Sun Set” and is the jackal-headed god of the Egyptian underworld. When we say “what a beautiful sunset,” we don’t realize that we are speaking as one might in ancient Egypt. Darkness was the time of Set, god of darkness. Night was not a good time in most ancient mythologies. This is why many priests stood up every morning acting as if by incantation and waving their arm they could bring back the Sun/Underworld Son of darkness and fear. The sun descending into hell is something that every sunset did. There was relief every morning when the sun/son was reborn.

Set slew Osiris, and in turn Horus, son of Osiris, slew Set. The dawn on the Horus-Sol overcomes the night that began at sunset. Pretty cool, huh? Jesus fights with Satan (Set or Sata) in the same way that Horus fights with Set. Everything is dualism. It is Light and Darkness, good and evil, God and Satan.

“Set kills Osiris and scatters his body, then claims the throne of the gods for himself. He is later defeated by Horus, the son of Osiris, who restores order to the world and establishes the pharaohs as guardians of Maat. Set and Horus continue to fight for control of the world, setting up an epic conflict of good versus evil.” (Light and Dark) David C. Scott website. Gods and Mythology of Egypt.

Consider the fact that Jesus is surrounded by 12 disciples and the events of Jesus’ life are like the Sun of God surrounded by the 12 signs of the zodiac that form the path of the sun across the heavens in one year. Just as the 12 sons of Jacob and the 12 tribes of Israel are the personification of astro-theology and are in fact references to the zodiac and the story it tells. We may no longer look at the skies, and we know very little about the zodiac, the characters, and the revolving story they tell, but our ancestors read the skies as we read books today.

For example, many of the world’s crucified godmen have their traditional birthdays on December 25 (“Christmas”). This was a basic understanding that we had at WCG and it was not out of place. Today, there is much more material to show this connection.

This is because the ancients recognized that (from an earthly perspective) the sun makes an annual southward dip until December 21 or 22, the winter solstice, when it stops moving south for three days and then begins to move north again. During this time, the ancients declared that the “sun of God” had “died” for three days and was “born again” on December 25. So Christmas is truly the birthday of the SUN/SON in every way.

The ancients realized that they needed the sun to return every day and that they would be in big trouble if the sun continued to move south and did not stop and reverse its direction. Therefore, these many different cultures celebrated the birthday of “God’s sun” on December 25.

In reality, the sun “dies” for three days on December 22, the winter solstice, when it stops moving south, to be reborn or resurrected on December 25, when it resumes its movement north. During those three days it could be said that the Sun is in the grave.

In December, the Virgin, the constellation Virgo precedes sunrise and so, “Behold, a Virgin will give birth to the sun/son”, would be part of the story in the heavens. Matthew literalized the story by looking in Isaiah for a story about a young woman that had virtually nothing to do with the prophecy of a literal virgin birth or Jesus himself.

Remember the alternative explanation of Isa. 14 and “how you have fallen, O Lucifer, (the Light Bearer-Venus precedes the rising of the sun), you bright and morning star” (Venus). Remember how Venus appears to ascend and then descend back to earth and how this IS the origin of the story of Satan’s downfall for trying to ascend to the Throne of God, which is astro-theologically NOON. Everyone sees “Satan fall like lightning from heaven” at one time or another during the year if they know what Venus looks like just before the sun rises on the sun of Horus, or even shortly after sunset. .

Something so brilliant caught the attention of mankind and stories of its seeming movement followed and were later literalized by the theologically ignorant. Venus always was and always will be a planet in the inner orbit between the earth and the sun. She behaves the way she does because she is the way she is. Entire theologies have grown up around what could not be explained then but can now be easily explained. Once you have the true explanation, you can rule out the false one.

The story of Jesus in the gospels can also be the story of the Sun/Son of God.

The sun is the “Light of the World”. Just like Jesus.

The sun “comes above the clouds, and every eye will see it.” Just like Jesus.

The sun that rises in the morning is the “Savior of humanity”. Just like Jesus.

The sun wears a crown, “crown of thorns” or halo. Just like Jesus.

The sun “walks on water.” Just like Jesus.

The sun can turn water (rain) into wine (grapes) Just like Jesus.

The “followers”, “helpers” or “disciples” of the sun are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass. Just like Jesus.

The sun at 12 o’clock is in the house or temple of the “Most High”; thus, “he” begins “the work of his Father” at the “age” of 12 years. Just like Jesus.

The sun enters each sign of the zodiac at 30°; (30×12=360 degrees) Therefore, the “Sun of God” begins his ministry at the “age” of 30 years. Just like Jesus.

The sun is hung on a cross or “crucified”, which represents its passage through the equinoxes, the vernal equinox being Easter, the moment in which it is resurrected. Just like Jesus.

Consider the following.

The rejection of Cain’s grain offering (Agricultural Goddess and fertility recognition of the religions that surround Israel) and the acceptance of Abel’s offering (roasted meat) was a symbol of the change that will take place in Israel from matriarchy and religion based on women, to patriarchy, priesthood and temple worship and sacrifices. The story is not true, the message was clear! Women are now owned and owned by men, no matter what the “pagan” nations around them practice or respect in the mysteries of the feminine and fertility. (sex if you must know!)

Little has changed in the Christian patriarchy since then, which is why for years I allowed myself to say the words “who gives this woman…” at marriage ceremonies. I stopped including that in the wedding ceremony at the end. The Father always formally transferred ownership from him to the qualified and selected male and I had to be the priest in the middle negotiating the transaction! Men have had too much time to ruin the planet and maybe it’s time to let the female spirit restore the right brain in humans! It’s time to act like the one who truly inspires all of us that divide us.

The physical sun has always fascinated human beings. It “ascends” in the east to bring its warmth, light and “sets” in the west, plunging the world into darkness with all the associated insecurities and dangers. It was truly a miracle and a welcome relief when each morning the Sun rose from the land of the dead to bring its light and protection for another day. Its cycles and apparent movement through the constellations have told the story of humanity for thousands of years, with all our hopes and fears. The physical Sun has been much of the inspiration for the mythologies of the spiritual son.

We are all still sun worshippers/sons at heart.
