Faith healing dates back to ancient Greek and Roman times, where the god of medicine, Asclepius, was hailed as the ultimate healer. Besides this “god”, there were many other gods and idols used by healers when they practiced their art. The Bible also points to many cases where faith healing was used successfully. The case of Naaman’s bathing ritual produced a full recovery from his leprosy condition. The New Testament of the Bible also has many examples of faith healing, some of which were performed by Jesus himself.
RECEIVE HEALING THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD
Psalm 107: 19-20; “Then they cried out to the LORD in their distress, and he delivered them out of their distress. He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
The above scripture says in verse 20; that the word of God heals us from sickness and disease, it also frees us from anguish and destruction.
You can imagine how vital the word of God is. It is food for the spirit, energizing us for a victorious life in Christ Jesus. That’s why the scripture says in Hebrews 4:12; “Because the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, it cuts between soul and spirit, between joints and marrow. It exposes our most intimate thoughts and desires.
Any other weapon can cut or destroy the flesh and the whole body, but only the word of God can penetrate to cut between the soul and the spirit. God’s word is so much more powerful!
PRAYER POINTS FOR HEALING.

Oh Lord, forgive me all my sins committed knowingly and unknowingly, Father, have mercy on my life and let my sins be washed away in the blood of the lamb that was slain.
I destroy by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ all sickness, pain, disease in my body, and declare that I have been washed by the blood of Jesus!
I decree and declare that I am healed by the wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Oh Lord, my healing is only in your hands. I command that every disease in my body manipulated by the devil receive fire in the name of Jesus!
Oh God, visit every part of my body now and perform the surgery that the doctors of this world cannot understand in the name of Jesus!
I invite all the healing Angels to come down and assist in the divine surgery that is taking place in my body now in the name of Jesus!
I command every disease to listen to the word of God that this body of mine is the temple of the Holy Spirit, therefore, disappear in the mighty name of Jesus!
I cast out any disease from my body regardless of their names, because it is written: I will decree a thing and it will be established. Therefore, I regain my healthy health in the mighty name of Jesus!
I uproot and dishonor everything that God has not planted in my body, in the name of Jesus!
Oh God, get up and let the enemy of my health be scattered in the name of Jesus!
