Right Brain Kids: Art Activities for Toddler Education and Parenting

It opened my eyes when my friend showed me how her little boy can read at the age of 18 months! Your child is attending an enrichment school on right brain training. I’m not sure how popular this is in other countries, but I’m sure right brain education for young children is all the rage right now!

I always wonder what other methods to train the right brain of young children. After doing a lot of research and reading, I found that one of the best ways is to provide them with some arts and crafts assignments. Here, I share some of my parenting tips from my experience and research.

Tips n. 1 Decorate your home with colorful posters

Display lots of brightly colored posters or cards, bold color is best. This is to train observation and focus at home.

Tips n. 2 Flash at least 100 pieces of colored flash cards every day

Plan a set time of day to show at least 100 flash cards to your toddler. The best time is after your child drinks milk or eats and is happy to play with you. This is to train the brain to be sensitive to different colors.

Tips n. 3 Motor Skills Training for Basic Art and Craft Skills

Keep in mind that all motor skill is critical in allowing your kids to learn to draw and control an art brush. Activities such as pouring water from a large cup to a small cup, stringing beads, tearing paper, practicing holding children with plastic scissors, but must be accompanied by parents, training to use the chock-stick in addition to using the spoon While feeding, train to hold different types of pen, pencil, brush, fine, thick, long, short, large or small.

Other necessary material such as colored recycled paper, newsletter or folder divider, etc., seashell, handmade clay, paper glue, different colored markers or colored pencils. Ask your child to cut out the family members or the photo of himself, paste it on colored paper, then decorate the surroundings of the colored paper with marker or colored pencil, glue other elements such as shells, clay, etc. . so that the artwork looks 3D.
