Clocks and watches are a big part of children’s lives. They love their favorite cartoon character so much that they want to have a little reminder of how special they are wrapped around their wrist or even adorning their walls. Well, little people have excellent taste and style when it comes to their watches. In case you don’t, I have a few ideas to spruce up your wrist or your walls with a little pizzazz.
Clocks are very important to children of all ages. They are particularly fascinated by new wristwatches that are big and make a bold statement. These watches are chunky and have large round or square faces. Some of them even have bells and whistles that your kids can twist and turn until their hearts are content. They come in digital and analog with lots of other stuff, and I’m not sure what to do with them. They are not made for those of us with small wrists. I tried one on and it felt like my wrist was in a hula-hoop, but it was stylish nonetheless.
Youngsters may be more interested in cartoon character watches. Dora the Explorer and Shrek are some popular characters. These clocks are usually in digital format. They have all kinds of wild colors and shapes to choose from. Some of these clocks even have crazy alarms and crazy loud sounds that only a kid would
could appreciate. Some of these watches even offer games that provide hours of fun entertainment for children. They will make you question whether it should be called a game or a watch. As long as the kids have fun, it doesn’t matter.
Older children will probably be more interested in some kind of three-dimensional wall clock for their rooms. They come in different shapes, colors and sizes. They may be interested in a replica of their favorite band or a watch with a picture of some new movie star. They probably think that they will never be able to live without this watch until the next fashion trend hits the scene.
Younger children will probably like novelty wall clock decorations with images of their favorite movie character or cartoon character. They will probably want the entire room to be designed around this center. The same goes for this age group. The character stays until the next hottest thing arrives.
The great thing about children is that they let you know what they want and when they want it. I’m sure they will have no problem guiding you in the directions of which watch and clock they want.
