Will Trump’s legacy be based on real or alternative events?

Although, unfortunately, many politicians and public officials sometimes resort to a degree of political turnNever before in recent memory have we witnessed an individual consistently articulate a message, based on denials, bending – down in these, calling anything that he disagrees with, or does not agree with, as false facts, etc., as we have done, these last few years, from Donald Trump! Many believe that our presidents are often judged, not only on their political popularity, during their tenure, but on their legacy. In the large number of cases, although we could disagree with an individual, in office, based on their political beliefs, plans, strategies, actions, etc., the basic events are not at stake! However, this President, by the number of times, the political fact – ladies, state, has lied, etc, and his employer, never apologizing, admitting a mistake, assuming personal responsibilities, etc, and his tendency, to blame and complain, blame others, along the way. With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review and discuss 5 instances / factors that could influence Trump’s legacy.

1. Race relations: Perhaps these last few years have witnessed a deterioration in race relations at an invisible rate in at least half a century! In my life, I did not believe, once again, we would witness so much systemic racism, white supremacy, neo-Nazism, etc., and a president, whose level of rhetoric and vitriol, fueled this hatred and intolerance, at this time. level / pace! The apparent division, in our society, between those who believe in equal rights, justice and freedom, and those who seem to believe that it is only applied selectively, is worrying! Although, Trump claims, it has been wonderful, in terms of these issues, many believe, on the contrary, that they are the true facts.

2. International / foreign relations: Although, he claims, he was protecting American interests, eliminating or limiting our involvement, from lasting alliances / pacts / agreements, opposing the Paris Accords, etc., those who differ, believe, Trump has always set his own personal / political agenda. and / or self-interest, before maintaining / strengthening our historical alliances, while appearing, to embrace, relationships with leaders of China, Russia, North Korea, etc.

3. Handling a pandemic: Perhaps the only element that will affect his legacy, more than any other, is Trump’s handling of the pandemic. He has consistently proclaimed, if he hadn’t handled it so well, the results would have been, much worse, but many of us, we believe, the data indicate otherwise! Since the population of the United States represents approximately 4.5% of the world population, we have experienced approximately 20% of the cases and deaths, which means, instead of almost 250,000 deaths, we should have seen approximately , 50,000 (sort of), so what could your legacy show about how you handled this horrendous event?

Four. Financial economics: Before the pandemic, the United States economy appeared to be extremely healthy, with a low unemployment rate and a strong stock market. However, if one looks, beyond the surface, at the actual growth / strength of the stock market, it was not as good a pace as its predecessor and largely relied on, smoke and mirrors, because, with historically low interest rates, there were few other viable options available to invest / park funds! While Trump brags about his administration and how well the nation benefited from the 2017 tax reform, many believe it benefited the wealthiest Americans, rather than helping us all equally. What will your eventual legacy be in this area?

5. Integrity / ethics: This president claims that his administration has been the most transparent, and he drained the so-called swamp! Unfortunately, this seems to differ significantly from reality. Have we ever seen a greater degree of lack of ethics, as we have seen?

We judge presidents often by their legacy and it often depends on a variety of factors! How do you think the current one will be judged and considered?
