Yes, you can burn a lot of calories running on the treadmill. And you can burn a lot of calories riding the stationary bike. But, it’s not fun and it’s not necessary fast. The best workout for fast weight loss may be one that involves explosive movement with distance or resistance. Basketball is a good example of this. There’s a lot of stopping and starting, jumping and running, and you’ll find that you burn more calories this way than you do with the same amount of time jogging.

Working out can be taxing on your body, so get yourself checked out ahead of time. But, once you get the “OK” and you’re ready to go, find a program that isn’t a workout, a hassle, and a drag.
