First I would like to start off and say that many Hollywood movies feature a fabrication that spirits harm humans. In rare cases, they can actually harm people. The chances of them actually harming people are slim. When I say slim, I mean slim. We have been to places where evil spirits have been present. Did they hurt us? Did they push us down and beat us up? Do not!
Hollywood is to blame for that notion. Most spirits just want to be noticed and paid attention to. Imagine this for a quick second. You were angry, bitter and torn by a twisted love that ended your destiny. The intruders entered your house, you were puzzled and outraged. What do you think you would do as a person? He can throw things, he can hit or bang on walls, he can yell profanities at intruders. However, could he have enough energy to grab one of the intruders and throw him down the stairs? No, I hardly doubt it!
Spirits need energy to manifest, they need some kind of power to pick something up. Think back to old RPGs, if you’ve played a few: there’s a bar that says energy, and every move requires energy. Now, picking up something like an intruder would have to take an enormous amount of energy. You can think of it this way, imagine you are going to exercise for the first time and expect to weigh 200 pounds. Will you be able to do it? Let’s just say that if you’re a skinny person and you’ve never worked out before, then probably not! I’m not saying that the spirits would have to work raising people and all that. I just mean that it could take a lot of energy for a spirit to pick up even the lightest object.
So where do ghosts get their energy? They absorb energy from various sources, such as paranormal equipment, anything that runs on artificial and natural current. By natural current, I mean ions from the environment, such as the positive and negative ions in the air.
The more energy you absorb, the more effectively you can manifest. You can think of it like the “Power Up” of a video game. The more “Power Up” the ghost absorbs, the more powerful they become. This energy will eventually disperse and they would have to receive energy elsewhere.
There have been countless investigations where no paranormal team has been harmed by a spirit, not even a malevolent one. If he were dead, would his purpose be to harm another person or would he be trying to attract attention? You decide for that.
